The Potsdam Conference was a summit held in the German city of Potsdam in July and August 1945 that brought together the victorious great powers of the Second World War.

The leaders of the United States, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom attended the talks. The conference addressed decisions concerning the administration of defeated Germany, occupation zones, reparations, and the postwar order in Europe. A declaration calling on Japan to surrender was also issued.
