The National Space Program, setting out Turkey's goals in the field of space, was announced to the public on 9 February 2021 by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The program contained various goals determined in line with a ten-year vision. Among these were headings such as carrying out a hard landing on the Moon, sending a Turkish astronaut to space, developing a regional positioning and timing system, and establishing a spaceport. The Turkish Space Agency, established in 2018, assumed a coordinating role in carrying out the program.
