The Eurasia Tunnel was opened to service in Istanbul in 2016.

A road tunnel passing beneath the Bosphorus, the project was designed as a transportation link connecting the European and Asian sides of the city beneath the seabed. The tunnel aimed in particular to relieve the concentration of road traffic at the strait crossings. Its opening was regarded as one of the large-scale engineering projects concerning Istanbul's transportation infrastructure.
